The Demand for professionally trained talent has grown thanks to the large number of TV serials being produced. And preying on the desperation of these youngsters in search of stardom are scores of acting schools offering courses at prices ranging from Rs. 10,000-5,00,000. Subhash Ghai's 'Whistling Woods' and Anupam Kher's 'Actor Prepares' in Mumbai being the latest additions in the high-priced segment.
Always check out the credentials of these institutes before enrolling. Most commercial acting classes simply fleece you in the name of training. NSD and FTII are the most credible institutes.
